Spell check doesn't help with m any typos and I am well known for not catching most of mine. Still and all, I am about as far away from being "off into deep DU land", as it is possible to be.I'm usually not critical of such, as I find myself guilty of the "crime" every now and then. :) All that other stuff is pure sophistry.

It's not a litmus test. It's a definition. Words have meanings.

I've been to the beaches in the middle east (Hurghada, Egypt) where the women were covered head to toe and in flowing capes.
It was bloody stupid and impractical, let alone degrading to the women.

If I want to live my life as I see fit, free and unmolested, then why is that not hypocrisy if I constantly monitor, judge, and try to change the way someone else lives? It's not really playing God. It is however being an incredibly sanctimonious pain in the ass.
"Before you attend to the mote in your neighbors eye, attend to the beam in thine own."
I forget who said that, but I'm pretty sure it was somebody important.

Okay, forget the Arbuckle stuff.
What I posted, that you are taking umbrage with, is also 100% true and completely factual. I neither made it up, nor embellish the facts.

Such a poor child to be born to such a selfish woman. A society without fathers will never prosper. That is the truth.
All considered, I liked the closets, civilized, useful items that rather screened politely than concealed. Discretion and courtesy is such the better way.

Words have meanings. BFD, thank you Rush Limbaugh. I am what I say I am, not what you say I am. Conservatism is a big tent, get used to it, or get used to becoming marginalized and losing elections.

Once again you miss the point, intentionally or you have some reading problems.
Bestiality is testing the limits of your theory of no govt interference in private business.
Haggard is a adulteror, gay and disgraced when revealed about his identity. This has nothing to do with the issue of gay couples intentionally getting pregant and raising children. Nobody is denying there are heterosexual parents who do a poor job of raising their children, that does not mean Gay parenting should be encouraged. Two wrongs dont make it right.
You said you wont discuss bestiality as it is illegal and therefore irrelevant, ok fair enough , so that means your line of no govt intervention applies to only legal behaviour.
So a hypothetical question was put to you, will you still support gay parenting if it is illegal, you cannot or dont want to answer it and instead deflecting the arguments.
As for you comparing Saudi Arabia to America, get real, you are pushing your arguments to the ridiculous extreme and not sticking to the topic of this thread.

I don't know who I abhor more....the pious, busybody moralist who wrote this piece of garbage (and those who agree), or the hypocritical gay/single-parent-loathing FReepers who now say "nobody's business" because she's Cheney's daughter.

God didn't create sin.Exactly. Sin doesn't have to be acted out, to be sin. Sin can be in the heart and in the mind. Sometimes you can appear to the rest of the world to live a peerless life, but only you and Him know what lies in your heart and in your mind.

Only their leadership's "proud" statements.
Suggest Google.
PS, did the gay uber-minister from Colorado Springs "confess" before or after the elections?
PPS, His gay escort and their meth sessions together? Obviously all George Bush's fault!

Well the kids could grow up with a drunk for an old man who beats Mommy ... I have seen it reported in various places that the domestic violence rate among lesbian couples is much higher than the national average. They tend to beat the crap out of each other.

I am neither a Nazi nor a "Mr." and Mary Cheney would never ask you advice about anything at all.
To: Jrabbit
I've seen a movement towards less freedom.....smoking Nazis Good point. And hopefully that will backfire - as will the banning of transfats or whatever else the social engineers come up with - and that includes attempts to determine who can and who cannot have children.

"Before you attend to the mote in your neighbors eye, attend to the beam in thine own."The Lord did, in his Sermon on the Mount, on the habit of speaking ill of others which is a great evil and temptation. The Lord strictly forbids judging
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye" (Matthew 7:1-5).
