Bush has stressed many times that U.S. troops will stay in Iraq until they successfully complete their mission.

I wish that was true.

But unfortunately, the phrase "Stay The Course" is not interpreted, "We will bring our soldiers home as soon as we finish the job."

Please cite the reference and provide a link for the last time you heard President Bush say that we must just "Stay the course."

He has been talking about making necessary adjustments dependent on the situation on the ground from the beginning.

"Stay the course" is a catch phrase for uninformed people, left and right, who don't pay any attention to what the Commander in Chief is actually saying.
