A Mexican plane is like a Mexican ship: It's a piece of Mexico and Mexican law applies to what goes on inside. The kid's a Mexican.Not according to international law it isn't. A plane flying over a country is in that country and subject to the laws of that country.

It is a Mexican airliner, if this plane fell out of the sky over Chicago, the people would be suing MEXICO, not the US.
