To Ballard (Seattle), of course, where all the rest of the Scandis went, who didn't go to Winnepeg. Their son, my father-in-law, however, came to Los Angeles to see the SUN.

I didn't know there was a US place the Scandis went, learn something new everyday. My relatives settled in Ethelbert, Manitoba, Canada back in the 1900's. I'd like to visit Iceland to see the history. A lot of Ukrainians passed through there.

Here's a story. My Great (many times great) uncle was a monk in the Ukraine. He went to Canada in the early 1900's. He decided he didn't like it. He was in Canada during the first Russian revolution in 1905, and decided to move back after. He was killed in the 1917 revolution. My Aunt has 'authentic' family tree paperwork. It's really fascinating, true or not, her research is plausible.
