The House ethics panel has not released its findings into the behavior of Mark Foley, the Florida Republican who left Congress in disgrace, despite looming adjournment and an October promise that the probe would conclude in "weeks, not months."
Speculation was raised that a report on the Foley scandal would be issued this afternoon, but staffers for the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct did not respond to rumors sweeping through Capitol Hill.
Mr. Foley resigned Sept. 29 when it was revealed that he sent sexually explicit messages to teenage boys who had served as congressional pages. That day, House members voted unanimously to send the matter to the ethics panel.

Thank god we still control the House for another couple of weeks. This story can be buried on a Friday afternoon, quietly, like it deserves. Had this dragged on into next months, you can be sure the Rats would be using this for political reasons.
I wonder what more they can say? I believe he did not deny he was guilty. I am sure if there were any blockbuster facts they would have been leaked by now. I do find it odd that the media isn't out chasing Foley around.
Will this report expose the coordination between the DNC and the media in researching, supressing, holding, and then using this hyped up scandal as an October Surprise?
The Democrats knew the "worst" details and demanded to know when GOP leadership knew those facts. The bigger question is when did the DNC know since they knew first and supressed it for later use in the campaign.
Safety of children was not their interest. Children weren't even at risk. But the yellow journalism did the trick.
The whole story had better come out, not just a partisan witchhunt of GOP leadership.
The last I had heard was that the FBI had found nothing illegal. Disgusting yes, illegal no.
And precisely when will we be hearing from the ethics committee about Jefferson, he of the $95,000 in the freezer?
