Hillary may have the buzz, but Rudy has the better poll numbers - at least for now. A new WNBC/Marist College survey yesterday found that while Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) is the most popular presidential option among Democrats, a whopping 47% of all voters say they would "definitely not" vote for the former First Lady if she runs for President in 2008. By contrast, a full two-thirds of voters say they remain open to voting for former Mayor Rudy Giuliani - who would best Clinton, 49% to 43%, if the 2008 race were held today. The numbers suggest that the Republican Giuliani - whose pre-9/11 record remains a blank to most voters - has room to grow, while Clinton begins with nearly half the electorate aligned against her, experts said.
"The bottom line is that there is very little room for error in a Hillary-for-President campaign," says Marist College pollster Lee Miringoff. Not that Giuliani is without challenges. The poll found that while Giuliani remains the top pick among GOP voters, a full 47% of those voters - when told that Giuliani is pro-choice, pro-gun control and pro-gay rights - say such issues could be a "major factor" in their eventual decision. Aides to Giuliani declined to comment on the numbers, but Clinton pollster Mark Penn argued that Clinton has consistently proven she can expand her base of supporters. "When she started in New York, many people said they'd never vote for her - and she just won reelection with 67% of the electorate," said Penn.

Precisely. That's your attitude. Who cares about overturning Affirmative Action or letting the Democrats create universal socialist healthcare. "Whatever," right?
One might make the same claim for Governors or senators, too. Either a person has shown leadership skills or he hasn't. Rudy has.
I, after looking at Rino Rudy's history believe he will do just as teh rats will on those two issues.
How many times to we have to tell you!!! The POTUS really has no control over your two driving issues -- OTHER than to nominate judges who will protect our rights, Rudy believes in those judges. GWBush believes what you believe, did he manage to overturn Roe v Wade??? No! No one is going to take your guns away...
These 2 issues are set in stone test for my and my vote.
Rino Rudy is a leader, a liberal leader. As a conservative I do not wnat those skills to be used.
There is nothing more I can say. You obviously don't care much for your country or fellow countrymen if you are willing to see Hillary run the country.
The same can be said for someone who supports a flaming liberal like Rino Rudy.

On anothe note, it is not an either or decision at thais stage. There are good conservatives runng, please take a look at them. Because mark these word Rino Rudy is unelectable. He will split the party and if you want to stop Hiltery we need someone else.

Southerners will not tolerate the social liberals. There may very well be a third party for a conservative candidate. If that is what the Giuliani people want, they will get it. To win the Presidency, you better win ALL the North and West, because the Central and Southern U.S. will have no part of an abortionist, gun-grabbing amnesty proponent.
