-- THE battle for the 2008 Democratic presidential nom ination will come down to two candidates: Hillary vs. the Un-Hillary.
Sen. Clinton is so polarizing and a female candidacy is so novel, that the race for the nomination must revolve around her. Who will the Un-Hillary be?
The early front-runner is Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. As a new African-American face, he has the same sort of first-of-a-kind credentials as Hillary and boasts genuine outsider status as well.
But Obama is very, very inexperienced. He was elected to Illinois' state Senate in a one-party district, then won the Democratic U.S. Senate primary because his wealthy, spend-it-all opponent was caught in a messy divorce scandal just as his candidacy was peaking. He won in the general election of '06 because Illinois is a blue state and the Republican who was to be his adversary dissolved in a marital scandal of his own, whereupon the talent-poor local GOP opted to import the aburdist candidate Alan Keyes - making Obama's victory a foregone conclusion.
In his book "The Audacity of Hope," he confesses that in his Senate campaign "no candidate ran a negative TV ad about me." That's as close as you get to a political equivalent of virginity.

Herself and Herhusband have, for years, built their political "Die-Nasty" on the politics of personal destruction. For the future of America someone has to fight fire with fire.
"Hey Dick, please take a few licks and then give it a break. Please."
Obama is a lightweight.
He is only in the race for a potential VP slot.
With Obama in the VP slot, Hillary can cement the female and black vote --- therefore, she wins. No argument.
There are too many women who will vote for her just because of her gender. They will outnumber the intelligent, informed female vote.
The only way to defeat Hillary/Obama would be something like a Rice/Steele ticket.
(yes, you have to play the same game)
Obama is a smooth talker
A cross between Bill Clinton and Jesse Jackson
IMO .. don't ingore him
Mol, see this thread:

They are not ignorning him, but playing him up so Hillary can have a tough primary battle (even though it will be a cake-walk) and then she can magnanimously offer the VP slot to Obama demonstrating her ability to make amends with her enemies.
At least this is how the press will play it........
Who's this Eileen McGann Dickie Boy is co-authoring with? Someone with contacts? Dickie has been an outsider from both parties since he left the most corrupt administration in history.
At any rate, he certainly is obsessed with Hillary.
Hussein Obama is an outsider allright. having a Muslim father puts him about as outside as you can get IMO.
By the way let me explain my thinking on that. His father is black and his mother is white, His father is Muslim and his mother is Catholic.
Here is where the thinking come in.
He has already openly forgotten his white blood and claims his black heritage, because it helps him politically , he has also forgotten his catholic Heritage as proven by his stand on abortion, he hasnt openly claimed his Muslim heritage because it would hurt him politically, but its there and it will come out.
I'll bet dickey and his wifey want a threesome with the beast. He can't concentrate on anything else. Cankleitis Infatulatum.

Where's this "initial enthusiasm" for Hillary? If there really was that kind of enthusiasm, then there wouldn't be a new Democrat every day throwing his hat into the ring and Obama wouldn't be in the news 24/7.
She is his wife.
For God's sake, let's take up a collection and buy enough industrial strength duct tape to tape up Morris for a few years - and give the rest of us a break from his incessant maundering. Didn't I hear somewhere the other night that he is almost consistently WRONG in his predictions?
I dont't think so. Men vote for men because they'd like to see "one of the guys" in office. Most women don't vote for women because they see successful women as competition and a thread. Women vote for the likes of Bill Clinton.
Obama is far more likely to attract the female vote than Hillary herself. What Hillary has going for her is what some journalist once called the "b*tch-factor": People see her as a b*tch, i.e. subconsciouly they believe that - other than Obama - she's tough enough for the job.
