There is confusion over reports that a man who met former Russian spy Alexander Livtinenko has fallen into a coma with radiation poisoning.

Dmitry Kovtun met Mr Livtinenko on November 1, the day it is believed he was poisoned with radioactive substance polonium-210.

Russian's interfax news agency said that Mr Kovtun fell into a coma immediately after being questioned by British and Russian detectives, with doctors describing his condition as "critical".

However, a lawyer for another wintess in the Litvinenko denied the reports.

Andrei Romashov said: "His health right at this minute is no different from the state of his health when he was questioned by Russian and British investigators."

The reports came after it was revealed that seven workers at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair have tested positive for low levels of radiation.

The Millennium Hotel The Hotel was one of the places visited by former Russian spy Mr Litvinenko, who was killed by radiation poisoning.

The seven involved worked at the hotel's bar, but the Health Protection Agency said there was no short-term risk to their health.

However, it warned that they have a "very small" increased risk of developing cancer in the long term.

Health officials are also advising members of the public who were in the Pine Bar of the Millennium Hotel on the day before and day after to contact NHS Direct.

I have a friend who traveled back and forth to Russia several times this year to bring home her adopted daughter. I hugged and asked whether she was radioactive and she said "no."

"it warned that they have a "very small" increased risk of developing cancer in the long term.'

That means they're fracked.

Ok... Russian's interfax news agency said that Mr Kovtun fell into a coma immediately after being questioned by British and Russian detectives, with doctors describing his condition as "critical".

But ...a lawyer for another wintess...Andrei Romashov said: "His health right at this minute is no different from the state of his health when he was questioned by Russian and British investigators."

Should "He is not in a coma and his condition is not critical" be the answer? "No different" seems to imply that Mr. Kovtun fell into a coma during rather than after questioning...
