Well, of course the human weakness was there first. Then came the communist exploitation of it. Then further decadence and addiction. The politically obsessed use the weakness and create the sexually obsessed (or more of them and worse ones). The two feed each other. I don't think you can now separate the two phenomena just by looking at them, although many of the sexually obsessed are not aware of the larger political implications of what is happening to them.
I think you are right about that. I completely agree about one group not being fully aware of the consequences of being used by the left. Most homosexuals I have known have been small business owners or had relatively good-paying jobs. Because they had no children they tended to have a fair amount of disposable income and lived fairly well. These people would be a target for the redistributionist left. Add to that the fact that the far left is gradually embracing the Islamist cause which is quite specific about its hatred of homosexuals and about the punishment it will hand out to these people if ever they come under their authority. But the need to gratify the obsession tends to
blind them to everything else.
