It's starting to look as if he ingested such a "gross" amount that it was self induced.

I read that if the stuff is in a vial, it will creep up the vial.

Can someone describe the visible properties of this stuff, i.e., sand, dust???????

It's my belief that as the deceased himself said it was a KGB hit. Assassinations - hits, rather - are not about the death. A gunshot to the head is efficient and cheap. Poisoning with a rare radioactive substance sends a message. Mob hitmen used to use chainsaws, cyanide, you name it - because it wasn't just about killing the guy.

Suicide is another option. It's unlikely and would require Litvinenko to want to have discredited somebody, but it is possible. That might explain how it happened.

I'm willing to entertain more than a few theories, but the suitcase nukes theory is ridiculous.

To the contrary, they are very much about the death.

Mob hitmen used to use chainsaws, cyanide, you name it - because it wasn't just about killing the guy.

That is a myth propagated by Hollyweird and a bunch of phony mobster memoirs. The vast majority of mob hits used guns.

Suicide is another option. It's unlikely and would require Litvinenko to want to have discredited somebody, but it is possible. That might explain how it happened.

Third possibility: Litvinenko inadvertently Darwined himself, and when he realized just how badly he screwed the pooch, decided to publicly blame Putin to (a) hopefully keep people from noticing the oddities I pointed out, and (b) crap on his enemies.

You're missing the point. There was the idea of a "calling card." A Russian spy ends up dead, others like him may or may not take notice. A Russian spy ends up poisoned with an extremely rare, expensive, and radioactive substance, you damn well better believe others like him will take notice.

"Reliable sources, including Hans Blix of the United Nation, have confirmed that bin Laden purchased several of these devices from the Chechen rebels in 1996.

Sure.

I am getting the alleged point.

When a Russian spy gets a bullet in the head, particularly if nobody hears the shot, others like him will notice, especially if it's in a country with strict gun control laws like the United Kingdom.

The "he was poisoned by the SVR on orders from Putin" theory sounds very good if you ignore the inconsistencies and oddities that I mentioned earlier--and a fair number of folks are doing just that. But when you start looking at those inconsistencies and oddities, things start getting a little fuzzier.

>>Even the theme song from The Love Boat?

Tell me we can still
put up the librettos of
the late Winslow Leach?!

--------------------------------------------------------------

I was not myself last night
Couldn't set things right with apologies or flowers
Out of place as a cryin' clown
Who could only frown and the play went on for hours

And as I lived my role
I swore I'd sell my soul...

For one love
Who would stand by me
And give me back the gift of laughter
One love
Who would stand by me
And after making love we'd...

Dream a bit of style
We'd dream a bunch of friends
Dream each other's smile
And dream it never ends

I was not myself last night
In the morning light I could see the change was showing
Like a child who was always poor
Reaching out for more I could feel the hunger growing
And as I lost control
I swore I'd sell my soul...

For one love
Who would sing my song
And fill this emptiness inside me
One love
Who would sing my song
And lay beside me while we'd...

Dream a bit of style
We'd dream a bunch of friends
Dream each others smile
And dream it never ends

All my dreams are lost
And I can't sleep
And sleep alone
Could ease my mind
All my tears have dried
And I can't weep
Old emotions
May they rest in peace

And dream
Dream a bunch of friends
Rest in peace
And dream
Dream it never ends...

The mere fact that he converted to Islam points to this direction.

Does any reliable source besides the KGB/FSB confirm that he converted to Islam?

There seem to be multiple red herrings left as a trail back to the Soviet Union and Putin. Putin is not a nice guy but he is not stupid. If he ordered a hit there would be no trails of evidence pointing back to him. Radioactive agents leave a big trail and the signs of radiation poisoning are easy to detect.

I have this question: Who benefits if Putin is blamed for a crime he did not commission? Apply Oscams razor and you will have the answer.

See my post #51. I still have not figured out who benefited from this murder.

To say that Hans Blix is a reliable source is, of course, silly. But there have been numerous rumors about Soviet suitcase nukes going missing, and it is certainly a possibility.

Also possible that they won't work, because they need to be properly maintained.

I think it's a real possibility that Litvinenko was smuggling in Polonium 210 for the use of terrorists, and he died because a little leaked out. It wouldn't take much.

It's also possible that Putin ordered it. But I don't think you can rule out the possibility that there's a substantial quantity of Polonium 210 out there that the police haven't yet found. They should certainly be investigating the possibility.

Whether it is intended as a nuclear trigger, or for a dirty bomb, is unclear. Dirty bomb makes more sense to me, but I don't think the trigger theory can be simply ignored.

Maybe finding out that the FSB was behind the 1999 apartment bombings was enough to cause Litvinenko to convert to the religion of the Chechens.

"There's this very intelligent fellow named Richard Miniter who long ago debunked the myth of suitcase nukes."

Yes. Suitcase as in business briefcase size container is too small for a nuke. However a backback sized container is the type used to carry the Mk-54 SADM (Small Atomic Demolition Munition).

Richard Miniter never debunked them, AFAIK.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suitcase_nukes

Read it again. SADMs and Russian equivalents were never produced on any scale because they lack any real utility.

Its not suitcase nukes anymore, he now is using the custom made nukes from Russia and China. Now remember the suitcase nukes are already here, OMG TIN FOIL HATS< UNDERGROUDN BUNKERS. Funny how things change?

here is the article

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=25157

the nukes he claims the british agents saw were dirty bombs

That fatwa from that saudi moron talks about dirty bombs, not nuclear weapons. Williams takes dirty bombs and says they are nuclear weapons (given to a extent they are but no one thinks of dirty bombs when Nuclear weapons is said)

he claims that al qaida tested nuclear weapons in afghanistan in 2000, of course this is from Hamid Mir who said they were dirty bombs

Here Mir says it was a dirty bomb
http://www.worldthreats.com/general_information/aqarsenal.htm
Here Williams says Nuclear suitcase weapons
http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49950

The attack was susposed to happen durning Ramadan, that ended in october (rememeber the entire thing with hamid mir and glenn beck?)

Williams has a new book coming out in under 2 weeks, he will be around a lot more to try to sell books. All his stories are twisted lesser stories made up to sell books. no one should belive this idiot.

tis is the plain he claims that one guy is using to get nukes into the united states. Pretty small, multiple trips? Like we wouldnt have knocked him out of the air one of the 14 (back and forth trips) across the border
http://www.airliners.net/info/stats.main?id=303

The sources for the suitcase weapons has also changed

here Williams says KGB
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29109

Here Williams says "The Chechen Mafia"
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/7/13/171536.shtml

Here Williams says, the Chechyens and the Russian Mafia
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1604669/posts

Here Williams says, the chechyens, Russian Mafia, and black market Arms dealers

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46127

So not only are the sources changing but the number of sources are also changing

believe me or not, that fine, you can search all this data on the internet, you can see for yourself how he contradicts himself, changes fact, words, ect to make his story more sensational.

Good post. It's interesting to see just how frequently the guy contradicts himself - and how strange he really is.

For what it's worth, every time I heard Williams on the radio either he or whatever host had him on mentioned his book every fifteen seconds. It became pretty clear his goal was strictly to sell books - books that have less truth to them than many Tom Clancy novels.
