I am not disagreeing with you here. He should have been much clearer in writing his posts if he meant what you just said.

Here are some of his statements....

The ISG report is the death knell of this war in Iraq. I strongly believe in fighting to win or get out. We were never supposed to live anothe Vietnam again...but the politicals are doing it right now. <.i>

Republicans are turning this into a real friggin Vietname now...we suck. Get our boys out of that shit hole now...until we fight to win, not one life is worth this cesspool. In case you people don't know what is going on here...the GOP elite have given up the fight now.

Keep deluding yourselves. I was a huge supporter of the WOT and the Iraq War. But now it's about a withdrawl. The ISG guarantees it. Either Bush does it, or the Dems will when they have all three houses...

Meanwhile good American boys die while this plays out. Not worth one more life or limb. Face reality guys. Our young men and women deserve better than to be in a conflict that has been written off by the politicos. That's ok for you keyboard commandos sitting in your offices and watching these brave Americans die for a war the politicians are turning into Vietnam. Prepare for "peace with honor" while another 2000 die in the next two years until we leave.

I don't see any of that as defeatist or cut-n-run. I see it as let them fight or get them out. It looks like exasperation on what our 'leaders' are doing.

That's my interpretation anyway.
