I understand your problem with that, puppy. You're in bed with Molly Ivans. NO one could see straight in that condition.....
Being in bed with Molly Ivins is way dangerous!
She might role over on you.
You're singing to the choir here...but, I for one do not believe we're getting a truthful assessment. Let me explain: The president says "we're winning in Iraq," his choice for new SECDEF says "we're not winning but we're not losing," and James Baker, the man he selected for the study group says "Iraq is a grave situation and getting worse every day." So what is the truth? As far as respect for the troops, I have nothing but respect for them as I currently am teaching a lot of them in my current employment position. I have grown close to many of them and seen more than I want to not come back or come back with missing limbs.
...and their Commander in Chief in time of war.
Here's where you and I part company. I had no respect for President Johnson during Vietnam and I had absolutely no respect for President Clinton during Bosnia, Somolia, or any of his other failed adventures. I do not believe it is a requirement that I have to repect the Commander-in-Chief during wartime or at anytime when I don't agree with him (or her as it seems it will be in 2009, thanks to the man who currently runs the WH).
And, how dare you compare me to Molly Ivins...as you can see, I look NOTHING like her. She has hair, I don't!
