The President can use an address to the nation to go directly to the American people and over the heads of the MSM. It could include a briefing by top military leaders on what is going on in Iraq in terms of the war effort and the successes in terms of the rebuilding of the infrastructure. It could also include a presentation by the Iraqi government. IMO, the President has not used his bully pulpit well enough. That is the reality, ohioWfan.

You know, an interesting phenomena on this forum is that those of us who are constantly belittled as 'Bush bots' because we pay close attention to what he says and does and KNOW that he is using his bully pulpit, are dismissed when we point out the truth of what he is actually doing.

There's not much point in arguing this, since it's just your opinion vs. mine. But I hope you do acknowledge that I do know what the President says and does, and that my opinion on his actions is, by that measure alone, more 'realistic.'

I hope he does this after he receives the real report, the Pentagon report which I believe will be the new plan that the President will order to be followed. In regards to the Iraq Surrender Group shameful report, he will give it a lip service since it include things that we have been already doing or planning to do like training the Iraqi forces and speeding up the training. However the President will refuse the surrender terms in the Iraq Surrender Group report like leaving before the mission is complete, withdrawing the troops before victory, and holding direct talks with Iran and Syria on the expense of Israel or Lebanon or anything else.
