Maura Carabello, Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah: "They could injure themselves, often not well equipped psychologically; they often don't know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency."
What absolute drivel.

Right, because we wouldn't want anyone to get HURT protecting himself from a murderer!

Nebraska just passed a Conceal carry law...the hoops one will need to jump through shows this lady's comments for what they are...knee jerk histeria.

Maura Carabello, Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah: "They could injure themselves, often not well equipped psychologically; they often don't know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency." Maura, you ignorant slut! You clearly don't know jack diddly-squat about guns or self defense, so why not just shut your stupid yap?

Carabello is a moron. This idea that all these CCW holders are firearm ignorant liabilities is silly.
Most people who choose to carry are already proficient in safe firearms handling. Every CCW holder I know (which is a lot in CDA, ID) spend far more time at the range than the 5 LEO's I know (3 in LA and 2 in ID).
The gun grabbers just can't admit that CCW friendly states are not awash in innocent blood.

Here! Here! If she is so concerned with the ignorant minion infantile clowns that wield dangerous equipment, she should give up driving. There are far more folks that should not be licensed to drive than there are that should not be licensed to carry.

Mike Taylor, Concealed Weapon Carrier: "The police have their hands full with everything and I don't think they could be every place at once." Wisdom like this should be shouted from the rooftops and taught in every school. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

The hilarious thing that undermines Carabello's fear is that the scum's reaction to showing a gun indicates what alot of us already know - 1 could probably save a life or property with an unloaded gun, because noone wants to chance that the gun is loaded!

Maura Carabello, with the Gun Violence Prevention Center, believes Utah's permit laws are lax. Maura Carabello, Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah: "They could injure themselves, often not well equipped psychologically; they often don't know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency."
This made me laugh, as it is so typical. When I it into plain speaking. She thinks gun owners are just like herself: accident prone, raving loony, stupid, and inept.
