Thanks, I just emailed that address, we'll see what happens. I heard Rick's speech re Gates last night and I was so impressed. He called a spade a spade. That is a man who needs to go further i.e to President. Those idiots voted out a really good man.

Is Richard Mellon Scaife still around? After all, he was funding the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. :) Scaife still publishes the Tribune-Review, but for all the good it does in many other areas, it has never been a pro-life voice. Scaife is pro-choice. Also, the Trib never supported the reasons for going to war in Iraq and was among those praising Murtha for declaring it time to cut and run.
To say, briefly, that Scaife isn't going to be bankrolling Santorum anytime soon.

Not looking for an argument. Maybe my post wasn't clear.
Another try; all the expressed Republican hopefuls (Rudy, McCain, Romney, etc.)are in my opinion nothing more than Hillary Lite.
What would we win if we elected any of these candidates?
IMO, even if we won, we'd loose by moving the entire country to the left.

Why are Biden, Dole, etc termed "lawmakers" and Santorum and Bunning characterized as "Bush allies"? They are all "senators" the last time I looked.
Bias, anyone?
To: MadIvan
Santorum for President is the only candidate that could excite me right now. Others have sugested Santorum as Ambassador to the UN. That's not a bad plan either.
To: Wormwood
agreed.
he lost Pennsylvania in a landslide. I don't see him winning anything other than the deep south, utah, wyoming and Idaho in a national election.

But Rick Santorum, regardless of his conservative credentials, has made enough politically suicidal statements that he would be toast in a national campaign. It looks like that now, but ten years from now he'll look like an oracle. He'll be vindicated.
And since he's a young man, he can capitalize on it, once Americans wake up from this period of silliness.

If only PA could just give Philly to New Jersey...No thanks; not even in a swap for Camden, Trenton and Newark!

It looks like that now, but ten years from now he'll look like an oracle. I disagree. Ten years from now he's look like a relic.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Anyone who calls himself a conservative and voted for Casey over Santorum must have rocks in his head. Oughta be ashamed...
Casey is going to toe the liberal 'Rat line when it comes to voting on nominees for the USSC, you watch. He's an empty suit when it comes to being pro-life.

What was the deep red's problem w/Santorum?I don't know. They seem to have been mad at the entire GOP and stayed home. If you browse this thread you'll get a sense of their anger at the entire Party:
Hensarling Wins RSC Chair!

Ahh, you just don't like what he said about that Supreme Court case.
Well he was right, the Courts by the Nichean ruling have opened the doors to anything goes, and we'll see it soon. Heck polygamists are already talking about using the Texas case in lower courts.

I wish I could channel Neville Chamberlain and ask him about our chances for a successful outcome if we "engage" with Iran.

Ahh, you just don't like what he said about that Supreme Court case. I believe his statements were politically stupid, regardless of their merit.
I further maintain that he is unelectable by a majority of Americans.
