Thanks for the ping. Interesting to see it was 1968 or before this was drawn by Norman Rockwell.

Here are the Ronald Reagan rose along with the Nancy Reagan rose (to the right) that were given their names in 2002 from Jackson & Perkins.

NEW JACKSON & PERKINS ROSES HONOR RONALD AND NANCY REAGAN

Medford, Ore., October 17, 2002 Jackson & Perkins has introduced two roses in honor of President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan. Ten percent of the sales of each rose will benefit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.

The Ronald Reagan Rose is a hybrid tea with red petals with a white reverse. As the blooms unfurl the red deepens and the blooms finish with a deep-blue edge with white underneath. The Nancy Reagan Rose, also a hybrid tea, has large, 5-inch blooms of deep apricot.

“President Reagan and Mrs. Reagan have done so much for our nation,” said Nancy Tait, President and CEO of Jackson & Perkins. “We are proud to honor them with these roses, and we are pleased to support the continued work of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation with a portion of the proceeds.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is a non-profit organization established to complete the presidents unfinished work and to promote Ronald Reagan Four Pillars of Freedom, individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy and national pride; principles that guided him throughout his years of public service. The Foundation sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the Center for Public Affairs and the Presidential Learning Center.

The Ronald Reagan rose and the Nancy Reagan rose join the list of commemorative roses offered by Jackson & Perkins. Others include John F. Kennedy; Mr. Lincoln; Billy Graham; Diana, Princess of Wales; Our Lady of Guadalupe and Cesar Chavez. Jackson & Perkins is the worlds largest rose company and the foremost producer of new rose varieties. The company was founded in 1872 and in 1939 became the countrys first mail-order nursery. Today it sells not only roses but also bulbs, ornamental plants, bushes, trees and home-gardening accessories through its catalogs, retail nurseries and gardening centers, as well as on the worldwide Web. The company is a subsidiary of Bear Creek Corporation, based in Medford, Ore.
