"Southern Oregon has been "ruint" by CA money. Prices went up by I don't know how much. CA money did it. Now the market is deader than a doornail."

Then I suppose the CA money is now in the hands of the locals, and the overpriced real estate is now owned by the dumb Californians. Same for Seattle mentioned in the next post.

Am I right?

Well, a bunch of builders built a lot of spec home which are sitting there empty and molding, realtors are trying to rent some of them. And a lot of locals who would like to buy houses or property can't afford the still inflated prices, I guess some people are hoping that more wealthy Californians will show up.

More than a few builders are out of business and/or hurting. Many of them are small family businesses. There's a lot of overpriced real estate just sitting there. Prices will have to come down, but they haven't dropped that much yet. Not enough to tempt anyone to buy them.
