Bush Sr presided over the collapse of the Soviet Union, liberated Kuwait, defeated Saddam, and unified Germany in NATO, to name just a few.

And Bill Clinton presided over a balanced budget and welfare reform..and your point is?

Bush Sr. committed no major sin, that is my point. He lost the election. He accomplished monumentally good things. And BTW he did it in defiance of the usual left wing opposition. You don't know or don't remember how he stood up to them to defeat Sadaam.
