Something to also consider (if you already haven't: If a pregnant woman's fetus is killed, say in a car accident, the criminal can be charged with a crime, vehichular manslaughter, even if the woman lives. I believe this occurred in Long beach, Calif. a number of years ago (10-12 yrs). It probably has occurred in other cases or circumstances. The point is there is precedence for this in the law.

I prosecuted a person who killed a pregnant women while driving intoxicated. Two counts of criminal vehicular homicide. Two consecutive sentences. Yet abortion in this state is legal.
