One of the "memes" coming out of this seems to be: This is our last chance/We have one last chance.

Says who?

After all of the hard work and sacrifices, shouldn't the goal be VICTORY, not "one last chance?"

It's an arbitrary restriction, "one last chance."

Of course Russert says its our last chance, we must invite Syria into the process, and give them the Golan Heights as a reward, and Iran of course.

Russert is just responding to his duties as President, and Congress and the press of the United States.

What he wants, he gets.
