Plus, about the only silver lining in the Dem win last month was that they can no longer just snipe at and undermine Bush's Iraq policy without consequences to themselves. Since they now are part of the decision-making prcoess, they now have to do something constructive or get hammered. Which is why you don't hear much talk of an immediate pullback - to the contrary, as someone noted, Pelosi's henchhags are now talking about INCREASING the number of troops.
That is the same opinion I came to election night and have expressed elsewhere. There were other elements of victory within that defeat as well. The RATS had to pretend to tack Right to win and will PO their lunatic fringe because they CANNOT be as irresponsible now. And when the 08 election comes around the GOP can run against Congress.

And here it comes... wait for it.....
Everyone is going to start to talk about increasing the troops to WIN. Which means a draft resolution which Rangel already did. RINOS will not stop it in the Senate and it will go to the Presidents desk. If he signs it, Democrats will then cry the Republicans brought back the draft. If he doesn't, the Democrats will cry he doesn't want to win in Iraq.
Hillary to the Green room. She approved the war but went against the method. Doesn't get any more perfect then that.
