I've seen lots of labs who seem to like to carry their own leashes (or frisbees) in their mouths. I guess it's just part of that retrieving instinct.

My chihuahua Fidel likes to carry very tiny stuffed animals around every waking hour. His sidekick Charo does not have the same habit.

my black lab, always has to have a ball or stick in her mouth after playtime at the field.
