America needs Barack Obama to lead us into a new era

This is where Barack Obama is head and shoulders above any of the other potential candidates on either side. This is where he is in a league all his own.
Listen to him speak and you feel the power of his intellect, but just as strongly you feel the power of his heart. This is a leader who will be able and inclined to reach out to the powerful and the disenfranchised. His guileless style and his heart have not yet been corrupted by the cesspool of Washington politics. That's why we need him now.

I drove past Wayne's house yesterday and wondered what he was doing these days. He was once my state rep, then senator, then he ran for governor and got soundly whipped, as he well deserved. He didn't even carry his own home town.

We don't need some "guileless" amateur in the White House at this juncture, if that indeed is what Obama is. I tend to think he's a slick piece of goods motivated by ambition who'll tell people what they want to hear without having any real principles of his own. But never mind. What we really need in a President is a tough, Machiavellian son of a bitch who'll stick it to our enemies in every way possible at all times. That's why I'm kind of leaning toward Giuliani at this point. He may not be conservative enough on a whole range of issues, but he has all the qualifications stated above.

I expect my president to have much more experience> To know what it means to be Commander In Chief. He speaks well, but then so do many, many others. (not a free pass to the White House).

The times call for a fresh face, untainted by scandal and unpolluted by the winds of arrogance and corrupting power that blow through the Capitol. The times call for a leader who can call on all Americans to focus on what unites us, to take pride in ourselves and our country, and to play a role in restoring the moral leadership of this planet. That's a very tall order. We've seen the rest, we need the best. And there is only one person who can do that: Barack Obama.I heard this guy was an admitted former crack user. I guess that makes him "untainted" in the 'rat party.
