I don't judge people based on the color of their skin, unless that's the way they first judge themself. If it's always about race, thus it will always be when I consider your own accomplishments.
And in Rangel's case, I also include the questionable content of his character.
I guess two Black Secretaries of State and two Supreme Court Justices don't count much for the NYT. It's all about numbers that they can fudge. And these Leftists haven't done a DAMN thing for the Black community. Not a DAMN thing!
Blackwell, Steele, and Swann didn't get this kind of coverage when they were running.
OH Lawdy Cholly Rangel---the pits.
There are blacks in all sorts of high positions in this administration and in Congress (albeit they are tend conservative). Why is this news? Because LIBERAL blacks got elected and actually will have important "jobs." Unlike the past when Sheets was busy killing their brethren, or at the very least, condoning it.
"It is so much power that Representative Charles B. Rangel, the New York Democrat set to be chairman of the pivotal Ways and Means Committee, said he hesitated to speak about it publicly. I dont want to scare the hell out of people, Mr. Rangel said, that blacks are now in charge of the committees and so, therefore, watch out.
Once a race pimp, always a race pimp.
As you say, "Liberal" scares the hell out of me not their skin tone.
"a senator considered a credible candidate for his partys presidential nomination."
Credible? By whose standards? Not mine, near as I can tell, the man has done nothing of National import.
Yes, he greduated law school, and yes, he is a family man. I don't see a thing that would recommend him to Joe 6 pak or any large segment of the national population.
He may be a BMOC in the Chicago area, but elsewhere, is he viewed as anything other than a lightweight?
