This is a really good article, complete with data/facts/statistics to prove the writer's points. Just too darn bad we know ahead of time it will have no impact on those determined to portray NYC cops as racist.
The best thing for the cops to do is stay out of those neighborhoods. When the residents become tired enough of the killings and other serious crimes to stop backing these race merchants, they can return. As long as the residents are going to support this particular strain of racism that attacks cops for doing their job every time a black man is killed, they don't deserve the protection of people who get paid very little in comparison to the value of their lives.
