Sorry. :-) That was the punchline of one of my favorite Far Side cartoons. A castaway has signaled for help using coconuts or logs or something, and instead of spelling HELP, he spelled HELF. The rescue pilots see it, say something like, "Oh, I thought he needed help, but I guess not. Let's go back." (but more cleverly that that)
