Hey Chaffee, you turncoat, backstabbing turd, why don't you lay down and lick your nuts!

The US Senate would have a hard time refusing one of their own.

Have you forgotten who's in charge now?

What is disturbing is that when Drudge put up the headline saying George Mitchell was going to be the nominee, that everyone thought it was Bush's doing. This should make it clear that it's not.

Rick Santorm. At least we'd know that he means what he says and that he will stand firm in the face of pressure.

We don't need someone that stands up for America at the UN, what we need is a guilt ridden liberal bowing to world opinion.

There are people on this very site who LOVE to trash Bush with stuff like this.

I think I'll mosey over to that thread and see how many of them want to apologize now.

Well he is a loser, after all. :)

Suggesting George Mitchell is bad enough. Brent Scowcroft is completely out of order.

No, I haven't. I really do think even a Democratic controlled US Senate would have a hard time refusing one of their own. And do you think the people in PA would just kindly take Casey a "no" vote on one of their own?

It appears Chaffee is the source of the George Mitchell rumour.

It sure does and now maybe some can stop hyperventilating that President Bush laid his name out there.

Send James Webb to the UN. I'm sure he'll find somebody to punch out over there.

I sincerely doubt President Bush is going to take Chafee's counsel. As the great Ann Coulter said, Chafee is too stupid to realise he's a Democrat.

Don't hold your breath, they've probably heard another rumor by now.

I would seriously consider appointing a celebrity type person to this post -- someone with the gravitas befitting the position. Maybe Merv Griffin or Bo Derek.

Chafee is out of his mind, and blocking a UN pick is absurd. The republican RINOs turned out to be kooks of the first order. They screwed the country big time.
