Much as I love to see the Navy pushing back, they should never forget that the military in this country is subject to civilian control. If the military does not like civilian authority, the very last thing we want is them taking matters into their own hands.

I know this is a silly little flap, but you always want to be on the lookout for that camel's nose under the tent.

From the article:

"Secretary of the Navy Donald C. Winter vetoed plans this week for a commissioning ceremony for the Makin Island in San Francisco"

This action was taken under civilian control. The Secretary of the Navy is a civilian, and he works for the Secretary of Defense, who is also a civilian and works for the President. Both are appointed by the President also a civilian, the one elected by the Electoral College who in turn are elected by the people.

So that camel can go back to being the sex object of Ahamdidejab or the Mayor of San Francisco.

Sure,if the civialian control respects the military which in the case of that $hithole does not.Why spend money where you are not appreciated?
