Now, stop and think about that comment for a minute. There is a reason we have primaries -- so people can come out and choose between candidates in the party they are registered to vote in... now if you are registered as an independent or constitution or libertarian, granted you just lost a choice about who to vote for in the GOP, but that is your fault of registration, not mine for going out and voting for the person I think will be electable and do a good job of representing the majority in my party...

If I guess right then the candidate I vote for will win; and if he/she gets enough votes he will be the standard bearer of my party. I will support him/her in November whether it was my first choice or not... because the alternative is too horrible to imagine.

The only way anyone is "rammed down your throat" is if you don't vote in the primary and/or the general and didn't participate in the process.
