I've never had to show my passport OR my birth certificate to do any of that.I guess you've been at the same job for 20 years, Howlin. I've had to show proof of citizenship or legal residence since 1986.

I don't know what kind of work you do, but I'd venture I've had more jobs than you have and I have yet to have to show proof of citizenship OR legal residence.
And I just incorporated another business and didn't have to show jack.

I applied for a part time job at a banking center, not anywhere near the money and had to show proof of citizenship, took my passport and they ran a check of my SSA number.
