Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill. While Republicans have been largely splintered on the issue of immigration reform, Democrats have been fairly unified behind the principle that the illegals currently in the country should get citizenship rights without having to first leave the country.

ROFLMAO!
Yer just full of all sorts of good news!
gracias!
your ahead of me
my best friend is Hispanic .. but she's one of the good girls who doesn't use those words *L*
I am alarmed as I am months away from taking the Oath Swearing and this may put me back yet again and I am in my fourth year of waiting - having completed all the examinations and checks...
I am in a quandry now and wonder if I should just give up because if I am so underappreciated along with all of the other legal applicants .... what is the use?
I pulled up the S.2611 - most of it is border security but farther along they discuss how to handle the illegals who are already residing in the U.S.

I guess this is the Bill they are talking about - the newspaper reporter wasn't very clear - as usual.
"John has a long mustache?"
Ah, the code to the French that the invasion was about to begin. Very good and very appropriate.
No basis in "fact"?
With motor-voter, the number of illegal votes cast cannot be dismissed as "un-provable", in that how do you catch them, when no I.D. is required to vote, no checks are performed, etc., etc.
In Ohio, the dead, cartoon charachters, etc. have voted in the past, and it defies common sense that illegals are not voting.
Bush wasn't up for reelection
the Senate and the House was ..
But not anymore
Pretty weak argument when Democrats HISTORICALLY and CONTINUOUSLY offer nothing but "an alternative vote for change", whatever the hell that un-founded claim is, as they have NO platform, ideas, or reasonable plans EXCEPT to un-do anything a Republican has done, bash the Republicans, or pander to sectarian interests by promising to do NOTHING.
You might want to take a break from your giddy little celebration to ask why our President is actually going to sign such a betrayal of our homeland.
I see you're still misquoting the "Bush was defeated" rant, even after you were corrected on that.
In my opinion, you are a prime example of what is wrong with the conservative movement; you claim to be one, but all you ever do is talk down any and all things that might make this country better.
But you must be happy as a pig in slop right now, huh? All those "items" you demanded the GOP do -- the ones you refused to compromise on one iota -- are now going to be handled by the DNC, thus assuring you're be perpetually pissed off for another two years.
Your screenname must make Ronald Reagan spin in his grave.
Rave on, lunatic.
Funny how they never mention that.
Can someone please help me zip up my straight jacket> I can't take this $&!% anymore!
Wow. Did you figure that out all by yourself?
So, let me get this straight. You Bushies are now making the excuse, that Pres Bush is not the leader of the GOP and therefore he had no responsibility in the GOP losing control of the House and the Senate on Nov 7th.
ROTFLMBO!
Giddy? Maybe that's your problem, you cannot tell disgust from giddiness.
And you bet, I'm disgusted at your purist who demanded Bush do something and then, when it wasn't deport them all, refused to give one inch.
A worker's program was better than what you're gonna get, pal.
Are YOU giddy?
What's even funnier is that those of you who trashed this man for six years are now claiming him as your leader so you can trash him again.
You never supported him and are thrilled to try to lay this at his feet, ignoring you unappeasables part in this debacle.
Not if they take an oath of citizenship which specifically
states that the person ceases to have allegiance to the
former nation.
I am simply amazed that this is all over and yet here they are, STILL trashing this man.
Just like they had no part in the defeat at all.
"A worker's program was better than what you're gonna get, pal."

Sure, keep on IGNORING the fact that your idol wants a "pathway to citizenship".
Sheeeeh, talk about denial!
