Activists, taken by surprise by the announcement, generally praised Bush's decision but said all restrictions on immigrants with HIV should be lifted. "It's a step away from a terribly discriminatory and inappropriate policy, but it doesn't go far enough,'' said Leonard Rubenstein, executive director of Physicians for Human Rights, in Washington.

"This is a treatable disease. If you want to remove stigma from AIDS, you have to go the whole distance, and eliminate all restrictions on entry to the United States for people with HIV.''

It's never enough is it? No matter how much we give or allow its never enough for the rest of this world.

It's time we learned we can't buy the worlds love and just started doing whats right to preserve this country first, then help the rest.

As for removing stigmas's......Sometimes a stigma is a good and healthy thing.

The "two" parties aren't offering that option to America anymore.

No it is never enough for them. The special treatment and privileges the HIV/AID crowd and gays get are unreal. What about people like my grandfather who served in WWII and died of cancer this summer.

Why import more individuals with HIV/AIDS? Why give them the chance to come here and possibly infect US citizens? No short visas and keep the restrictions.
