They weren't and Kerry was ONE state away from being president while running against an incumbent with a booming economy and a war going on

As I said, Kerry lost the election all by himself. He may have been running against a good economy, but President Bush did not have his base fired up, considering his propensity for being too close to the Democratics* on such issues as education, immigration, size and cost of government, entitlements and so on. The only thing he had going for him other than the economy was tax cuts and WOT. Add to that the pro-Democratic* bias of Big Media

The fact that Kerry's own supporters were using the phrase "JUST HOLD YOUR NOSE AND VOTE FOR KERRY" shows just how weak he was. If he were running against a candidate as conservative as, say, Ronald Reagan he would have lost in all 50 states.

It was only the Dan Rather outrage that stopped the momentum against the President.

The media continues their treachery as we can see from the mid terms.

Unless they are stopped there is no hope for America.

The media blamed Bush for the gas price increases and blamed him for manipulating the prices downward. Not much different than the phony hysteria over the flu vaccine before the 2004 election. A manufactured scandal.

The media blamed the President for Katrina, Valerie Pflame, and every other situation on earth.

The media wouldn't have minded a Kerry presidency. Only providence saved us.
