Warren actually dove into the African Aids issue a while back and then his wife was struck with Breast Cancer and he put everything on hold for her recovery.
Now she is in remission and he is going full speed ahead, actually has accomplished quite a lot in one African country and feels he can do a lot more. I don't like Obama, but I understood what Warren was saying. BTW, Warren has been to the WH and met personally with President Bush on multiple occasions.
Halle Berry certainly does, but Tiger Woods, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with any kind of racial labels--to his credit.
Because Hillary is polling way ahead of him and has a lot more money. The MSM fawning all over him will not necessarily translate into big bucks from the big donors who are going to be wary of his lack of experience, especially with foreign policy.
If he runs with her and they win, he's a shoo-in as her successor. If he goes for the nomination and loses to her (likely), he stays in the Senate till she leaves office, then runs. He'd probably prefer to be VP than Senator in the interim.
Thanks to a lousy Republican campaign, we here in Massachusetts have one of those charming black empty vessels for a governor-elect. But at least Deval is a genuine Black American, not a crypto African Muslim.
Obama is a member of a black United Church of Christ denomination.
Either way you are predicting 16 years of rule to drag us into the bowels of Socialism. Not a pleasant thought, but it appears we conservatives are too out numbered to make a difference.
Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I am not predicting Clinton/Obama will necessarily win. It will depend on who the GOP candidate is.
Therein lies the rub.. if FR is a cross section of our party as a whole, then there isn't a candidate who will satisfy everyone and we can expect a repeat of November 7th or worse. Very depressing thought.
It seems preposterous at first thought but if you think of possible scenarios it is possible. Likely, no, but possible.
If Hillary doesn't get the Black vote, she doesn't get the nomination. If Blacks think Obama a serious contender then he is left standing while the rest of the field withers and narrows to Hillary, Obama and possibly Edwards. If none has sufficient delegates, and if Obama stood out during the campaign- with the media as his campaign team- Obama may just be the logical (Democrat choise of Woman or black or white guy? Edwards is out. Hillary, too much baggage. Obama charismatic and articulate) pick if Gore has not by then positioned himself as their savior.
Then comes the hard part, or not.
If the 2008 Republican candidate is someone the Social Conservatives adore (name someone)- Obama may very likely win.
choice
Don't you mean Arkancide?
Too late! those fried green tomatoes had kids who will soon be running whats left of the Republic.
..I was praying for Clinton to recover and repent--then go to prison...
Hitlery/Osama - the winning White Guilt ticket! Watch it!
I am still skeptical that Obama will be at the top of the ticket. But for the sake of argument let's say that he is.
The stupidest thing the GOP could do would be to run McKook. The race would come down to a youthful man who is the picture of health vs. an old crank who has had a couple of recurrences of a very lethal form of cancer. (As if there aren't enough other reasons that he would blow the election for the GOP.)
Agreed.
Or she will have them killed.
And if you would rather have the Dem nominee as president, then vote fore the damned Dem. If not, them you MUST support whoever is the GOP candidate. That's the way it is and you'll be a worse than a fool to go fringe party of stay home in '08; you'll be an enabler of everything you don't want!
The time to work and vote for someone you like, is during the GOP primary. If your man doesn't win, then just suck it up and don't allow you enemy to win!
Jesse had a well known name, it was decades ago, so his corruptness was not as well known and he LOST nonetheless.
