ATLANTA: Federal authorities arrested six illegal immigrants Wednesday who had security badges that gave them access to restricted areas at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest airport.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested the men, all from Mexico and all construction company employees, said agency spokesman Marc Raimondi. All will be deported.

The article doesn't mention if the businesses are facing any punishment.

construction company employees

Should be high paying jobs.

They did this in LA at the docks and found well over a hundred in one sweep. All making good $$$. Not the kind of jobs we're being told Mexicans are taking from us.

It did mention that the company didnt return any messages.
The owners of the company should be arrested and sent to prison for a long time.

Somebody hired them and placed them there to work. They are responsible and should be held responsible. Jail some of these employers and you wil see this stop.

They should share cells with those responsible for issuing the security badges to the illegals.

Meanwhile, back at the airport security screening area, they're shaking down passengers like little old ladies in wheelchairs, to keep our airliners *safe*.

Seems that there's more security for the people riding the planes than those maintaining them. That helps now, doesn't it?

But they're doing the jobs American won't. /sarc

Seriously though, nothing will happen to them. It will be business as usual in a few days/weeks.

Good! I want the TSA checking everyone including old ladies in wheel chairs because this is what can happen when you give a free pass to old ladies:

Most likely they'll be deported to Norcross.

If they were screening EVERYBODY, that would be different. But you missed the point. What good is it doing screening anyone when illegals can have such easy access to restricted areas of the airport?

Besides, 57 is not an old lady and if they'd racially profile, they'd have caught her too.

Should be high paying jobs.

It is likely that the companies are making higher profits by not paying taxes, buying insurance or using costly safety equipement.

It was discovered that a construction company across the street from where I work in Maryland was employing illegals when one of them fell to his death from the fifth floor steel skeleton. It turned out that only the legal workers had been using safety gear.

Most of the workers left the work site as fast as they could go, by car and by foot, never to appear under the same name again.

The company paid a federal and a state fine, not above $20,000 I think, denied that they did anything wrong and promised never to do it again.

They also fired the site manager, the foreman and the hiring agent. Of course, they re-hired those three as soon as the heat was off, at a different location, with bonuses to cover their lost time, according to the site manager of the const. company working on my building.

He claims this is standard practice, and that he never use illegals, never mind that none of them can speak english. At least they all have papers that say they are U.S. citizens.

Everyone who trades with the illeagles should go to jail.

Some people trade cash for goods and services and others trade goods and services for cash.

If no one would trade with them they would go away.

Those who sell the illegals, food, clothing, shelter, medical services, fuel, transportation, the list goes on and on, are the ones who make it possible for illegals to stay in this country. They are every bit as responsible as those who traded cash for services.

If we are going to make one group of citizens play Border Patrol, we should make every citizen play Border Patrol, it's called treating everyone equally under the law.

The real solution is for those paid to play Border Patrol, to stop playing and do their job for real.

Do you feel you have the right to trade you property with whoever you care to trade with, or do you feel your property rights are restricted so that you can only trade your property with only those people the government approves?

Is this what the founding Fathers had in mind when they listed Property Rights as an inherent right?

That the government always had veto power over your trades?

The effort has identified more than 5,800 unauthorized airport workers and prompted the arrests of 1,100 illegal workers...

Why do we have only a 19% arrest rate for the ones we catch?

I believe all illegal aliens should have jail time if they are caught. The amount of jail time depends on how many laws they broke.

1. Illegal entry into the United States
2. Intentionally lying on a Federal form (if they had to fill a form out for employment)
3. Identity theft (if they were using someone else's SSN)

The executives of the company should be held liable as well if they cannot prove their workers can legally work at their jobs.

These people have no business in this country to be trading work or anything else.

They are here ILLEGALLY---ILLEGALLY-- it means they have no right even being in this country. Those who hire them and place them working in jobs with government contracts are encouraging more ILLEGALS to enter our country. The Employers should be arrested and if convicted they should serve time.

Now you may feel that this country is open to anyone who can wade across the border no matter where they waded in from. I do not.
That shouldnt be that hard to understand, and no amount of obfiscation by bringing up the founding fathers changes the basic fact that there are ways to enter this country legally. I have no problem with those who do so. Only those who come here without any benefit of legality whatsoever. It has to be stopped or we will soon be like Mexico ,the third world country who supplies these ILLEGALS.

Hold on a second there.

Why not answer an extremely simple question?

Why not jail those who trade at all with the illegals?

They are here illegally and those who trade with them encourage their behavior.

How far are you going to go with that?

If you buy something from the illegal cashier, does that include you?

When they apply for jobs it is assumed the employer asks for a green card or a Social security card. Inthis way they learn if they are illegals or not or they are fooled by the person asking for the job. If they are misled that isnt a problem .If they hire knowingly knowign the person is an illegal it is a problem.

Now as for your extremely simple question let me say that if we had illegals with an illegal sign tattooed on their forehead maybe we could do that, however there is no way the average merchant can tell a legal from an illegal. However there are some communities who are after landlords for renting to illegals.
