That story eliminated one particular detail that had been posted here from THE HILL one day earlier-- namely that Webb had admitted to someone that he had been tempted to "slug" the President. I think the WaPo, great supporter of Webb that they were, intentionally sanitized the account so that it would be the dominant one, and yet he still comes off as a "boor."
