So, what did Hewitt say about ICANN? Well, he wondered aloud why the government has to I didn't hear this of the show .. but I think the keyword here is "he wondered aloud "
Hugh tends to talk about both sides of an issue for discussion purpose

Let us not forget how this "Reagan conservative" defended the Harriet Myers push and lashed out at those who opposed it.

Just for the record. Guys like Hugh Hewitt, George W.Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rudy Giuliani and
many many other members of the GOP, are big government Republicans. If you don't believe it, you're in denial or out of touch with reality. Big government Republicans do not support the idea of a smaller, more limited government with significant reductions in the welfare state.

I wrote off HH when he stabbed Tom McClintock in the back in 2003. For those who don't already know this, HH supported Tom McClintock for governor in the Gray Davis recall. That was until RINOld entered the race. At which point, HH jumped ship and switched his support to RINOld.
HH, another member of the Gelding Old Party.

I heard the segment..and Hugh was very serious.
But Hugh is not a real conservative. He is a centrist that has no problem with big government concepts.

This is not surprising. The Bush-bot conservatives have always been willing to let the government grow as long it remains "moral."
