I'm on dialup, but if you can tell me what the last line was that should take care of it.

I can't stand that guy. I challenge anyone to find a tv host who was more anti-Republican, anti-Bush in the last 6 months leading up to the election. He still does far more bashing of the right than the left...

Dobbs left the show because he disagreed with the CNN president about Clinton.

Dobbs didn't think it was newsworthy that Clinton was having a live address at Columbine, Lou thought it was staged.

I think you're right. Dobbs became too impressed with himself when he was being praised by the liberals for bashing Bush and Republicans and he went too far IMO, and I'll never have any use for him again.

i agree that he's not too bright....he never gave the House Republicans credit for stopping shamnesty...i don't know why he was so excited about the Democrats winning.

I cannot forget his smirk on election night when the dems were winning, Lou dobbs could'nt hide his excitement when he saw the exit polls. Why would someone who is so against illegal immigration and amnesty be pleased with a dem win.

Perhaps he really isn't against illegal immigration? I flipped him on and off several times recently and saw him covering stories on illegal immigration like he was taking a personal stand on the issue, but that looked like desperate attempt to win over some conservative viewers.

Actually, Dobbs left CNN because he wanted to be involved in Space.com and Rick Kaplan (a clinton butt-buddy) told him he couldn't be in that AND do a show which was a conflict of interest. Dobbs thought he was going to become a bizillionaire like everybody else starting a dot.com back in 1999-2000 but also wanted to have the platform on TV at the same time to pimp his website. Kaplan didn't like Dobbs and made him choose.

Dobbs came back in the midst of the total doledrums at CNN after Kaplan bailed/was fired. Dobbs demanded huge money to come save them but didn't very little in the way of ratings until he started demogoguing the 'outsourcing' issues and then illegal immigration. Dobbs has become another Pat Buchanan clone who turned his back on capitalism in favor of rabid protectionism and scapegoating.

But isn't pandering to the Buchanan and outsourcing crowd, Capitalism?

I mean, if that brings in ratings and money, thus, the free market wins again.

'Perhaps he really isn't against illegal immigration?'

No kidding, the few times I watched his program, he has been almost non stop in his campaign against amnesty and illegal immmigration. Its either that or how China and free trade is wrecking American economy or how corrupt Congress is.

Infact Dobbs was even criticised for using some extreme group material during one of his shows on illegal immigration. He was fully in to it but other size he never gave credit to the House Republicans for stopping amnesty. He mostly attacked Republicans and big business interests for wanting illegal immigrants but not the Dems who wanted to legalise them and get their votes.

In a bizarre way, yes. But if you go back to Adam Smith, the basis of capitalism is morality. Without morality, you get russian oligarchs and Enron masquerading as capitalism. There is such a thing as criminal capitalism (ie, exchanging nothing for the valuable consideration you seek (also known as fraud)).

Dobbs gets more amusing to me and more annoying to the people at CNN who already hate capitalism but hate it even more when Dobbs beats up on illegals to get the 'white male demographic'.

Lou Dobbs show was cancelled by CNN, but CNN gave it back to him if he promised to become a Pat Buchanan-type bashing Bush.

I'll assume you are not lying, that you are simply ignorant of the truth while you spread this lie.

Lou Dobbs walked out when CNN interupted his show with Clinton non -news. They didn't like him criticizing Clinton, so he left, then they begged him back. PLEASE, we have the liberal media to spread disinformation, must you do it also??

http://home.ease.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind9906B&L=WNN&D=0&T=0&P=54

Just two weeks ago, Dobbs was involved in an unusually public tiff with Kaplan. A visibly unhappy Dobbs interrupted ``Moneyline'' so CNN could show a presidential news conference from Colorado and told viewers it was under Kaplan's orders.

It prompted a Kaplan deputy to issue memos stating that CNN's executive producers have the authority to break into ``Moneyline'' to cover news when warranted. The Wall Street Journal reported there had been longstanding tension between Dobbs and Kaplan, with Dobbs complaining about money being spent on ``NewsStand,'' a series Kaplan has championed.

``He is one of the people who helped put business news on the map in television,'' said George Jamison, a CNBC spokesman. ``He was a strong competitor and a respected journalist. This is a big loss for CNN and CNNfn.''

Lou Dobbs, business news anchor who left CNN in public dispute with its management nearly two years ago, agrees to return to his network and become anchor of Moneyline News Hour, business news program that he started about 20 years ago; CNN is expected to give Dobbs executive-level title that will allow him to help guide network's overall business coverage

You ought to watch more often, instead of believing the propaganda here. Just think what someone would think of FR if they "tuned in" once in a while.

I'll assume you are not lying, that you are simply ignorant of the truth while you spread this lie.

Dobbs left CNN in 2000, reportedly due to heated clashes with its president, Rick Kaplan, one of which actually occurred on-air when Kaplan suggested cutting from CNN News to the live address by President Bill Clinton at Columbine, which Dobbs believed was a staged event and not newsworthy. [5] Kaplan left CNN in August 2000 and Dobbs returned the following year at the behest of his friend and CNN founder Ted Turner . . .

What I stated was true. CNN bribed him and he took it, the phony.

"Why would someone who is so against illegal immigration and amnesty be pleased with a dem win."

... asked myself that also?

Things are pretty messed up. I can't even tell what team their on anymore. Heck, I don't even think they know what team their on.

Case in point: A GOP Governor in Ohio is veto'ing improvements to our CCW law in Ohio, while the Dem that will be replacing him shortly says he will sign it. Go figure. I think it is every man/women for themselves.
