The SF probably means San Francisco, but U haven't a clue about the DOE part. Does his wife work for the Department of Energy?
That's I haven't a clue of course, not U. Didn't want you to think my typo was an intent to insult.

Probably "Does Science Fiction". SF is the traditional purist's term for the genre, not "sci fi".

A little digging shows Doe SF is an artsy store in San Francisco where Kim lives.
