Everyone, including me, is often blind to our own hypocritical behavior, but the Libs seem to do it especially often. And of course, the MSM let them get away with it, while they would crucify any conservative or Christian who would do the same.

The other extreme believes its a very personal matter, and outing is absolutely wrong.
It's a gross violation of privacy. The fact that you may disagree with some person does not mean that person waived his desire for privacy or gave you permission to violate his privacy. Of course it's wrong.

Well they really do think that they are a different class of people...the demands they make apply to the little people not them the cultural elites. If we all stopped shopping at walmart (is that a place where they like... sell walls or something hehehe... I just wanna smack her)for example then we really would have more money to spend seeing the latest crap that they spew out. As for the politicos... I think the Kerry joke kinda showed that one to everyone.

If a politician or celebrity complains our taxes arent high enough while he hires the most aggressive accountants to minimize his own taxes, or takes questionable deductions to do the same, by all means, lets out him. Wow. I am totally impressed by him. I knew he was conservative but this post is great! He's pro-life isn't he? I've been so sick over the last 20 some years seeing s.o.b.'s like Michael Moore, Al Franken, etc. get in front of some interviewer (like Dan Rather) and claim they want to pay 70% tax. B.S.! The interviewer nods his stupid head and they both shed a tear that the evil Republicans have made them keep more of their money than they want to. It just infuriates me.
I tell my liberal friend that it was Michael Moore that first inspired me towards conservatism because of the absolute blatant hypocrisy that he shows.

The "middle" position on outing is to do it if it gains a political advantage or damages a political foe. It is purely vicious and, of course, fits the stereotype of the character of the public homosexual.

The Liberals are NOT being hypocritical, ever. Their beliefs and principles are power and whatever it takes to advance their progress toward the goal of power, then increased power, is Right and Good.

It isn't actually the hypocrisy they're outing, it's the homosexuality. The hypocrisy provides an excuse. In fact, this is simply a form of extortion practiced on those who do not adhere to a set of rigidly-enforced political positions.
The reason one does not "out" hypocrites such as the ones Sajak details is that it doesn't accomplish anything because they don't care.
To: DeweyCA
The logical fallacy these activists make is thinking that by spotlighting someone who doesn't live up to the ideals he espouses they somehow besmirch the ideals themselves.

I believe that, other than for sexual hypocrisy, all politicians really don't care about exposing their hypocrisy. As long as their aren't any credible opponents (and the power of incumbancy sees to that), there are no consequences for their hypocrisy.
Even the recent Republicna loss of Congress wasn't over hypocrisy per se, it was over abandoning the right-wing base on practically every issue.

Libs are such hypocrites...Last week I was at a women's retreat and there was this new age, 50 something, code pink looking, ex-hippie-tree hugger reading passages from some ridiculous meditation book about everyone loving everyone or some stupid crap like that. I was talking to her about something, and as I walked her to her car, I saw she had a BUSH=HITLER bumper sticker. I asked her if she really thought Bush was worse than Hitler. This peace loving, we are all one madwoman started ranting about how much she hates Bush and how evil he is. I said, "If you truly believe Bush is worse than Hitler, you're either mentally retarded or a Jew Hater, which one is it??? She stormed off!

...if a crusading moralist or an anti-gay marriage Congressman is leading a secret gay life, its okay to make that public. There are plenty of OPENLY gay people who oppose gay marriage.
There's nothing hypocritical about it.

If a Congressman opposes school choice for his poorer constituents while sending his own kids to private schools, lets out him...if a Congresswoman supports labor unions and yet refuses to hire union labor in her own multi-million dollar restaurant and winery, let's "out" her......
