1. One of the state's strongest GOP enclaves? What a laugh riot. Miami-Dade is blue territory in a red state.
2. And, when the census department cannot guess the number of illegals within a factor of two, how can you possibly suppose you know how many illegal immigrants are in Miami-Dade?
3. The degree to which Miami-Dade's immigrants ARE legal is largely due to the fact that immigration laws were written to accomodate Cuban boat people.
Miami-Dade is not Blue territory, it is Purple! If it weren't for the Cuban-American vote, then it would be solidly Blue. If it wasn't for the Cuban-American GOP vote, Dade county would be going 90% for the Dems. The GOP Cuban-American vote is the one thing that keeps the county's election results evened out against the lib Dem Black, Anglo, and Jewish votes in the county. Also, please compare the Dade county election results with the rest of South Florida like Broward and Palm Beach. The only thing holding down the fort down here is the GOP Cuban-American community.
