Are you going to sit there and type that you don't support Bush's shamnesty? that you haven't complained that plantation owners need their cheap labor provided by illegal aliens?

You've made primarily subjective statements ("pro-reality," "anti-stupidity," "idiotic," "just trying to distract from his own ineptness"), so it is entirely legitimate to question the values represented by your statements. You want your peasant-labor force, and you attacking the opponent of your peasant-labor force, as if you were concerned for his effectiveness.

O and btw, re: "Because he was elected to take care of this State and not to concern himself with a State that someone else was elected to care for" : That was exactly my point: that we didn't hear Bush's criticisms of Colorado's policies because Colorado's policies aren't any of Bush's business. Tancredo, however, was pointing out Miami as a leading indicator of what is wrong with national policies, so it was Tancredo's business, since he holds a federal office.

"Are you going to sit there and type that you don't support Bush's shamnesty?"

I do, I think that thus far it's the only sensible plan that's come up. I don't see or hear anyone coming up with a way to round up and deport millions of people without turning this nation into something far more grotesque that I wish to see it become.

"Round them up and throw them out" is a slogan, not a plan.

It isn't a peasant labor force, and if it is, then your argument, when you make the argument that Americans will do the work, is that you want Americans to become a peasant work force.

"Tancredo, however, was pointing out Miami as a leading indicator of what is wrong with national policies"

I've just posted studies and information that repudiates this idea of Miami-Dade immigrants failing to assimilate, so the true failure here is in the part of this sad figure of a politician that Tom Tancredo is...so blinded by his prejudices that he fails to do the most minimal amount of research into the topic that he's built his political career on. Which leads me to believe that he doesn't truly care about the issue of immigration (if he did, he would have researched Miami-Dade's immigrants a tad better before shooting off his mouth), but he does know how to keep himself in the limelight of those whose money he counts on to keep himself employed...his equally ignorant and uneducated supporters.

This lesson in civics was brought to you by Luis Gonzalez, proud American, and a first-generation immigrant.
