The Kansas Supreme Court refused Thursday to intervene on behalf of two abortion clinics in a dispute with the state attorney general over patient records that were leaked to "The O'Reilly Factor."

The clinics had asked the court to seize the records of 90 patients from Attorney General Phill Kline and appoint a special prosecutor to investigate how Fox News' Bill O'Reilly got access to abortion records for a Nov. 3 broadcast.

The court offered no explanation for its ruling in a one-sentence order signed by Chief Justice McFarland.

Freedom of the press, Baby!

Ha. For once it backfires on the libs. They are fine with the NY Times printing military secrets and top secret espionage secrets that endanger our lives and that of our troops.

But allow some information about Planned Parenthood covering up child rapes onto Fox and WOOO WOOO ....

Good for this court.

The Court knows the issue will be moot after 1/8 so why bother getting involved?

yes, but Kline lost - so the case is going nowhere after January. A state like Kansas can't even elect a pro-life republican AG?

All the KU students vote in Lawrence and also in their home states. My cousin and her husband are Dem "activists" for a living there. This can put quite a blip in the state as a whole, and is a technique used in NY, FL and WI also.
There's no national registration database.

Yes, Kline lost because the state media bullies willed it. The shame and consequences are ours to bear. May God rescue the innocent from the hands of the evil doers.

A quick check of the campaign contributions showed that Morrison raised $178,000 from lawyers and lobbyists. That is almost the total raised by Kline.
Kline was assassinated by the media and the story was he was trying to get people's confidential medical records when in truth he sought to get the clinics.
Morrison has already given one press conference asking that no charges be filed by Kline before he leaves office.
There is one chance out there pending to nail them... that is in the works now and will either go or not before the first of the year.
I'd say more but I don't know more at the moment. Just a rumor.
I hope good will still prevail.

Morrison received loads of campaign money from Kansas' top producing abortionist, George Tiller. If anyone refers these cases back to the counties for prosecution, it will have to be Kline, because under Morrison abortion will become the state's biggest protected industry.
