Yes sir, Laz, that was a most selfish response and ignorant of the dad's own son, just as Cindy Sheehan is selfish and ignorant of her own (once beloved) son Casey. She made her son into a stuffed shell of a painted memory at her own sideshow, and Dad Webb could well be on the same road.
