I can't say that I am surprised. They probably moved to Virginia and registered to vote as part of their caliphate plans. It sickens me.

Maybe he'd like time in Leavenworth. Officers generally do not act this way. Webb is cerainly no officer or gentleman. I would be pleased if the President asked how anyone I knew, especially my son, was doing in a combat zone. Webb reminds me of a punk.

"Jim Webb Threatens to 'Slug' President Bush"

Spot on!! That's the first thing I noticed.

It is a far cry from thinking about slugging a man, than threatening to actually do it. One can think all they want about me, but threaten me, and I will rip the idiots throat out.

That pedophile writing fool is a one term pony, if that.

Ok, but only if they are all anatomically correct males.

I know, but as you know, we can't change titles.

BTW, hello SM from South Georgia.

Hi Dark - I'm actually not from Stone Mountain though - it's a translation of my last name!

Speaking for myself, there are three adult counseling sessions that have really helped me, more than in just what they were for. One was a driver re-education course That the State of New Jersey forced me into, and turned out to be a real lifetime benefit I -- was hell on wells before and much better since. They taught me not just how to drive straight, but how to think straight. How to seperate my reasoning adult-in-command personality from my wild child and my vindicative "parent" personality.

The second was a pain-therapy series of sessions where the therapist taught pain management techniques that, most of them, anyway, if not all of them, are relaxation methods. Breathing, imaging, automatic suggstions. They are utterly mechnical to apply once trained and initially practised and can really lower the old internal tension level very quickly.

The third, well I guess it was anger management. And it did help reduce my explodability factor a few orders of magnitude. But it wasn't aimed directly at "managing anger" whatever that means. You can't manage anger any more than you can manage lightning.

What that counselor taught was how to communicate. How to listen and how to engage in a "directed" converstaion. How to converse in a way that makes sure both parties understand that the other party has heard and understood what each was saying. That has been a real help in my life.

And any one of those techniques would have saved Mr. Webb his most embarassing predicament, which surely embrasses not only himself (where that embarassment may be transformed into anger, for failure to admit it for what it is) and for his family, friends, co-workers and mostly for his own dear son. Every son is dear to a father, no matter who angry that father may be at times.

U. S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) also threatened the president with physical attack after Hurricane Katrina. It's part of the new Jackass Party image, setting an example for the youth of America.

Yes sir, Laz, that was a most selfish response and ignorant of the dad's own son, just as Cindy Sheehan is selfish and ignorant of her own (once beloved) son Casey. She made her son into a stuffed shell of a painted memory at her own sideshow, and Dad Webb could well be on the same road.

Would it be wrong to wish he had, thus shifting the balance of the Senate?

Nice thought... but VA has a rat guv, so it would have no effect. He would probably appoint ex-guv Mark Warner.

I'd be thrilled, if Webb came out and whined that the Secret Service had visited him.

I would have been more thrilled at what the Secret Service would have done to Pig Face had he decked the President.

The State of Virginia is going to rue the day that they elected this POS to the Senate. Without all those transplanted Yankees that infest Northern Virginia, it wouldn't have happened.

If I had a son in Iraq, the war would be more personal than if I were directing said war. I therefore give more leeway to the father's tone. Bush could have defused the situation with a more consoling tone and been the better man. He didn't.

It sounds like your testosterone level probably dropped during that time! LOL

Seriously, some of those counseling sessions can be really valuable.

Man. The leftists just HATE it when the spawn of their loins actually manage to think for themselves after YEARS of socialist indoctrination, don't they?

God Speed Young Webb and bring him home safe so he can punch his own Daddy in the nose! :)
