Legal Latinos residents in Arizona voted over 50% in favor of restrictions on illegal immigration. Tancredo is speaking to a very large audience.

Most legal Latinos want illegal immigration stopped. They can see how it is going to ruin the good thing they have going here.

I have yet to see an "ignorant" remark from Tancredo, but have seen may by his detractors.

'Most legal Latinos want illegal immigration stopped'

Yes and then why Tancredo has to attack them during his remarks about miami?

You are yet to see a ignorant remark by Tancredo? LMAO...as i said his fans are clueless. He was all over the place with this comments on miami and quoted statistics that were either wrong or outdated and misleading.

I think you dislike him because he attacks the Bush administration and another Bush relative....am I right?

It has already been disproven that illegal immigration rhetoric was not really a factor in this last election. Democrats ran to the right of Repubublicans in some areas on this issue.

Shall someone not stand up and have the guts to tell it like it is?

You say you would like to stop illegal immigration, yet the one man who champions this cause you throw stones at.

I see nothing wrong with comments about Miami, it is only one of many problems.

I think you should revel in this man. He is only one of few who has the courage and conviction to say what is right and let the cards fall where they may.

I have yet to see any of his detractors make any sense in their attacks.

I dislike him because he focus his attacks on the wrong city and the wrong people. Miami latinos most of them are Republican and many are legal. There are other Democrat cities infested with illegals but Tancredo ignored them and went after miami. Jeb Bush is one of the best conservative Republicans this country has and Tancredo is foolish to pick a fight with him.

I prefer someone who is informed and a good communicator to lead the fight against illegal immigration rather than a racist blowhard. I prefer somone like senator Kyl who is an asset rather than Tancredo.

As i said going after legal immigrants is NOT the way to fight the problem and Tancredo is absolutely wrong to attack legal migrants, he allows Dems and LaRaza groups to paint conservatives as racists and get a open border agenda implemented. So this in theory means Tancredo helps the La Raza groups more than he assists conservatives to win the fight against illegal immigration.
If you dont think this makes sense and Tancredo is a liabilty rather than a asset, then it is not suprising as Tancredo fans dont really like the facts.

Tancredo is not going after legal immigrants. That is just the way he has been "painted". You have bought into the lies of his detractors.

Usually, his detractors hate him because he isn't their candidate. That is a frequent problem at FR. People all to often trash those they aren't going to vote for.

Who else has stood up for this issue nationally, and taken on the administration over this issue?

That takes guts and conviction, lacking in most of our elected leaders.

'Tancredo is not going after legal immigrants. That is just the way he has been "painted". You have bought into the lies of his detractors. '

He did go after legal immigrants, read his quotes. He said both legal and illegal immigrants are the source of problems in miami, he made that very clear. Again you are clearly avoid the context of this thread which is his ignorant remarks on miami. Miami is hardly a city infesed with illegal immigrants like Los Angeles or New york is.

'Who else has stood up for this issue nationally, and taken on the administration over this issue?'

I think many have opposed amnesty and gone about opposing it, Republican congress passed a tough anti-illegal measure.

Tancredo may be the guy who puts it in the media spotlight but thats the problem. Tancredo is past his useby date, he should step aside and let someone who has better communication skills and more informed take over his role. His ignorance, stupidity and apparent racism does not help the conservatives interested in border security issues.

Just read your home page. I can see we will always have to agree to disagree. Perot split the republican vote off but these other people are good Americans stating what is their heart felt beliefs. They are not out to elect Democrats.

The administration lost this last one....if you don't know that, you need to get up to speed.

I'm retiring, as it is going on 4AM here. See ya!

'Perot split the republican vote off but these other people are good Americans stating what is their heart felt beliefs. They are not out to elect Democrats. '

Thats the issue with people like Perot and Tancredo, they mislead otherwise good and decent people disaffected Americans to vote for them and split the Republican vote, getting Dems elected.

The administration may not have done a great job on border security but folks like Tancredo with their idiotic comments are not helping the cause either, you need to understand that. See ya!
