Why did his "boy" enlist?

Probably also between him and his boy. If I were his kid, I'd probably want to flee home.

I'd say Webb's boy probably enlisted to serve his country, much like Duncan Hunter's son did. It's a shame there are so few sons of the political class who are man enough to do this. In my opinion, it's very puzzling why any able bodied young man would not join something, expecially as young women are deploying to combat; I'd think they'd be ashamed not to serve.

"Why did his "boy" enlist?"
Why do we have a military, if the country doesn't support them?

Why did his "boy" enlist? Interesting that you highlighted that choice of words, which stuck out for me, too. I find it just incredulous that Dubya ever referred to that Marine as "boy". His wording of the incident seems to be changing with each account. I find that telling, too.

Why did his "boy" enlist? Because Daddy is a closet child-molester and the "boy" wanted to get the hell out of the house and learn how to protect himself, maybe?
