Companies have a right to set their policies, if they are understood from the time of hiring. But this is pretty ridiculous. Reminds me of the employment situation in Kurt Vonnegut's "Player Piano."

That excuse gives me the chills. It is the thinking behind helmet laws and ANY other nanny state (and company) rubber padding of my world and limits to my freedom on my own time. What about mountain biking, skydiving and Big Macs?

Many companies are also using a Gallup derived 200 question "pesonality" test to pre-weed out "undesirable" candidates before they can even be interviewed.
