The Democrats will find much of their agenda will die in the Senate - if Chuckie Schumer insists on living up to his vow to block the confirmation of President Bush's judges.

Ever since the elder Bush's administration, the filibuster has become routine.

Yes. leave it to the Toe-Sucker to blame a Bush and not the Democrats who bucked 200 years of protocol/tradition.

The Democrats will get most of what they want because Republicans don't fight back. And 51 Democrats in the Senate can always count on RINOs like Specter, Graham, McCain, Hagel, Snowe, Collins, and Warner to side with them on important issues like judges, Patriot Act, military prisons, taxes.

And all the bad things that happen, through the willing help of the MSM, will be blamed on the Republicans.

I will make a cyber bet right now.------- The next pay raise for Congress that comes up will get bi-partisan support.

Democrats already have this all planned out. Hold the line on their ambitions for 2 years, capture WH, and then watch out. Pent up democrat demand will blitzkreig the country faster than the Wehrmacht took France.

There is no real danger of any legislative action emerging from this Congress. Yes, the president has a veto the Democrats cannot override, but nothing will ever make it as far as the desk at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I feel better now. I was worried the socialists( dems) might send Pres. Bush his own shamnesty bill for Illegal aliens and Bush would sign it. - tom

Morris is right for once.

The most powerful thing this the weak Dem congress has is subpeona power.

Thus the thing that will distinguish this Congress will be investigation after investigation after investigation....

"Where the Republican majority best resembled the Prussian Army - disciplined, unified and determined - the Democratic majority in the upcoming Congress is disunited, dispersed and divided into myriad caucuses and special interest groups. One could purchase the Republican majority wholesale by making a deal with the speaker and the majority leader. But to get the Democratic majority in line, one has to buy it retail -- caucus by caucus."

The final proof that Dick Morris should stick to toe sucking. He clearly doesn't know the first thing about congressional Republicans.
