Oh, easy. Just remember that these a's are pronounced like Latin a's, and not like the English ones. English "gay" is pronounced [gei]. in "Gaidar" that "gay" part has its "a" sounding like the the beginning of "our", but short and not stressed- I think the pronunciation synbol is [a:]. The second "a" in "gaidar" is the stressed, longer "a:"-like sound. And finally, the last consonant in "gaidar" is fully sounding "r". so yes, it is gai-dAr
